IT Field Support Engineer - to £20k, Altrincham, Cheshire
IT Field Support Engineer is required by our Retail client based in Altrincham, Cheshire . Candidates can expect a salary of £20,000 + on call allowance.
The successful candidate will be required to support stores both across the UK and internationally and a full UK driving license is imperative.

--- Duties ---
- Resolve any end user problems as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
- Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations
-Perform on/off site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware/software solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
- Perform installations of new computer equipment in stores located across the UK and International locations
- Install and support new equipment based in head office
- Perform ‘On-Call’ duties as part of a Rota system
- Take responsibility for Periodic checks of systems
- Pro-actively monitor systems using monitoring software

--- Requirements ---
- Excellent knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 7
- Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 /2007
- Experience in installing software both locally and remotely
- Experienced in using help desk software
- A good understanding of computer security
- A good understanding of TCP/IP
- A good understanding of Ethernet networks
-   A sound understanding of ADSL and VPN technologies
- Ability to develop electrical mechanical skills as required for the installation and support of optical equipment
